About Department of Veterans Services, State Approving Agency for Veterans Education and Training

The role of The Department of Veterans Services, State Approving Agency (SAA) for Veterans Education and Training is to review, evaluate, approve and oversee training programs at schools and other training establishments to ensure quality programs of education and training under the State and Federal criteria. The SAA is the primary source of assuring institutional accountability with specialized authorization exercising the state's authority to approve, disapprove and monitor education and training programs for veterans and other persons eligible for education entitlements under the GI Bill
