Description:

The candidate will install and configure LAN/WAN hardware and software components and technical support for the Vulnerability Assessment Detachment Network Lab. The candidate will maintain an inventory baseline of network management and system level components; assist with the implementaion of network security measures; develop system level requirements and engineering network designs as well as the management of network control documents. The candidate will research and recommend new network techologies for integration into the existing network. ***Please note the a  labor category listed in the NG job description lists the position as Software Engineer**

 
Required Skills
  • 5 years experience (with Bachelors Degree)
  • Strong foundation and knowledge of computer networking to include TCP/IP.
  • Practical experience with UNIX and Windows OS', Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) and Firewalls
  • Understanding of computer/network security practices
  • Familiarity with common programming or scripting languages (C++ or Perl)
  • Travel up to 30% to stateside locations
