SAIC is seeking a Tactical Systems Field Engineer for the Qatar site to perform design and installation of electronic security systems that include access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems to protect critical assets for our Government customers in tactical environments. Candidates must have electronic security systems experience. It is expected that the Senior Technician will travel 80% to project sites in tactical environments. The Tactical Systems Field Engineer will support the maintenance, inspection, adjustments, reconfiguration, and introduction of new or advanced security technology including testing. The Tactical Systems Field Engineer will perform all related information technology (IT) support required to host upgraded security systems. <br><br><br>The tasks to be performed/supervised by the technical support may/will consist of, but are not limited to, the following: <br><br>? Works to ensure all site work progresses as scheduled and contract specifications are met. <br>? Install and maintain all Tactical Automated Security Systems (TASS) and associated IT networks, systems and support equipment. <br>? Work closely with the site’s Force Protection and Security Forces personnel on all security system issues. <br>? Provide technical expertise and maintain all security systems at designated bases in theater. <br>? Perform security site surveys as required by Force Protection staff. <br>? Write detailed trip reports to include sensor recommendations and placement derived from site surveys. <br>? Assist the Tactical Systems - System Administrator located at his/her assigned site(s). <br>? Provide initial and/or refresher training on equipment for personnel assigned to administrate and/or operate the system. They will train personnel on operational, field-level maintenance, depot, and any higher headquarters procedures. They will assist local Force protection Commanders develop security system subject matter experts within their command. <br>? They will make recommendations to the FP and Security Forces Commander on the placement of new or upgraded equipment. <br>? Manage up to five employees to achieve performance goals. <br><br>Required Education and Experience: Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or computer science and a minimum of five years of technical experience relating to physical or electronic security system projects.
